Mojo Monday 163 - Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

Hello, friends!  Did you vote yesterday?  I trust that the answer is a resounding "YES"!


Believe it or not, I created a card today for the Mojo Monday 163 challenge! 

I realize I have been relatively absent lately.  Trying to find a job is not much of a mojo generator!  But I needed a card for a fellow blogger who lost her husband this weekend after a long illness.  So devastating and so very sad.  I know I cannot even imagine her sorrow.

I decided to use some elements with a vintage feel.  My mom gave me a lot of old sheet music.  I would use it in every project if I could!  It may get monotonous, but I just love it.  The lace is from Hero Arts and the Prima roses were a gift from my friend Mona (thanks dear!).  The sentiment is from Verve and the die templates are my beloved Spellbinders(TM). 

Well, my son Alan is graduating (B.A.) from the University of Florida in December!  He had to pass a French college equivalency exam  or take French in the spring and graduate next spring.  So he has spent the past month re-teaching himself French, as he had not touched it since high school.  He took the exam yesterday and found out this morning that he passed!  Not unusual for him to pass an exam, but he was so worried about this one.  Now on to the Physics GRE so that he can start graduate school next year.  Better him than me, for sure!

Mojo Monday meets Play Date Cafe Scrapbooking in Melbourne,Florida

Oh, it's good to be back!

Thank you for all of the encouragement during my morosity (new word?).  I hope the mojo has returned -- I made four cards today!  wooHOOO!!!  I decided to sit down in my studio and just create for fun -- no design team projects (although they are fun!!!) -- no restrictions; just create.

So I started with a card for my BFF Rindy, which you'll see in a couple of days.  Then a card for my BFF Tami.  These gals really were my lifeline a couple of weeks ago during my unfortunate incarceration (my layoff - ha).

Then I moved on to a couple of challenge cards.  Now, this is the first time I've ever made a card that actually fits two challenges!  I used Julee's Mojo Monday 150 sketch.  Wow, this sketch rocked!  I always forget about my corner rounder, so this was a fun reminder that it's in my stash.

I also fulfilled the Play Date Cafe's Challenge 41, which is a color challenge.  What great inspiration there!

I was so excited to get to play with Spellbinders'(TM) brand new release S4-297 Nested Crown(R) die templates.  Yum!!!!  The darker portions are actually inked through the holes in the die template - that's what's so great and unique about Spellbinders die templates!  Click on the photo to get a closer look.

Mojo Monday 133 and another Sympathy Card Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

I can't stop using this Queen Bee paper!  Thanks, Amy.  tee hee.

Well, my sweet mom is going to need a sympathy card really soon, so I decided to make one at a time.  I hate to tempt fate and make three like I did the last time. 

Today I used the Mojo Monday sketch.  I wish you could see this card IRO (in real life) - my photo skills just don't do it justice.  The black cardstock is CTMH, and all the rest is the Queen Bee line from Pink Paislee.  The Verve sentiment is stamped on a 'flip note', which is one of several little die cut papers tucked into a little pad.  Of course, they all coordinate perfectly with the Queen bee line; some even have little flourishes, crowns (heart!) and sentiments on them.

Remember that trip to JoAnn's last week?  The key that I purchased and used on the Veranda card?  Well, that's when I bought the fleur de lis embellishment that I used on this card.   LOOOOOOVE it!!!!  There are about nine of them (gold, silver, copper colored) in the package....I'd better get more...ha!

Spring-y Duck-y card Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

So here's the second card I made with my FREE loot from Emma's Paperie that I showed you Thursday night.  Yum!  This time I used the Mojo Monday 132 sketch - the square version - and it came together in a snap! 

I love the Crafty Secrets cardstock images, and this little ducky/chicky is one of several that I ordered from Emma's.  Don't you just love her?  The felt coaster is a dollar bin find from Michaels.  I purchased four different colors and will figure out something to do with them - I have an idea for a layout. 

I have lots of ideas - just need to put them down on paper - literally!  Oh, to be able to do this for a living - what a dream that is!  Until then, I'll keep squeezing in some projects on the weekends......I know most of y'all are feeling my pain and are in the same boat! 

BTW, my first year blog anniversary is April 21!!!!  wooHOOO!!!  I was hoping to reach 25,000 hits by then, but I don't think it's going to happen.  So I'll try to post often if you would stop by just as often - maybe together we can make it happen!  Would the promise of BLOG CANDY entice you???  hmmmmm....let me dig through my stuff and see what I can find!  Mwaahhh ha haaa!!!!

Three challenges, one theme, one paper and a broken booby! Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

I finally plopped down in my studio last night and created three simple sympathy cards from one paper pack - DCWV's La Creme - one of my favorites that isn't CTMH.  To make it even simpler, I searched my bookmarked sites for three sketch challenges.  The result is three cards in less than an hour and a half - probably a record for me...ha!

First I used Jen's SFYTT (Sketch For You To Try).

Next I used Julee's Mojo Monday Sketch this week - Mojo130.  I probably should have put something behind the pearl (in the center of the flower)....may go back and do that.

Notice a theme here?  I'm using the same supplies, just mixing them up a bit.  


Then I had to search a little more and came up with a sketch from a site that is new to me - SkippingStonesDesign.

I really love the sketch, and I just changed it up a tiny bit by placing my ribbon horizontally rather than vertically.  This was not a design choice, but necessitated by my poor stamping at the bottom of the panel!  You can probably see where I messed up my leaves (covered by the bow and charm) if you click on the image.

Now.  About the broken booby.  I am a klutz and always in a hurry, not watching where I am going...you get the idea.  So I fell, good and hard!  Bruised knees, forearms, trunk, ego......and for the first time, bruised booby!  Yep, it is so big (the bruise - tee hee) that it looks like someone threw a cantaloupe a my chest at 50 mph.  Oh, the agony!  Oh, the pain!  Oh, the humiliation!!!  The worst part is that I can't show anyone, so you have to take my word for it!!!

Mojo Monday Friendship card - Black, White and Grey CTMH Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

Sometimes I discover that the sketches that appear to be challenging....turn out to be the easiest and quickest for me!

Yesterday's Think Ink Tuesday Challenge took me about 20 minutes (as opposed to my usual hour or longer) to whip out.

The same goes for this Mojo Monday sketch!  Those little rectangular elements threatened to stump me...but victory is mine!    mwaahhhaaaaahaaaaaaaaaa!!

I used nearly all CTMH textured cardstock for this lovely sketch. The black cardstock is actually grey on the backside, so I only used a piece of textured black and some regular white daisy.  

I really love this new stamp set - One of a Kind.  There are several botanical leaves, flowers and stems. Perfect for tiny 3x3 cards-I'm working on some of those right now.  I used my small and large circle Nestabilities die templates - I'll be using a lot more of those now that I'm on the Spellbinders(TM) Design Team!  woooHHOO!!  And I snuck in another one of those super-cute prima gems at the end of the white strip punched with a Martha punch.  No ribbon - no buttons - no flowers - that's pretty clean and simple for me!

Update on the pizza story - Alan said it was not so good.  He tried making a second batch of dough and it was a little better. I forsee a bread-making lesson when he's home for spring break!

Invite the girls for a night out! Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

Hey y'all!  I finally took the time to work out a Mojo sketch.  They are always fun, and this one was no exception!

You can choose between a round card or a square version.  This time I decided to try the square version.  Mostly because I was too lazy to find something to make a big ol' circle with.  HA!!!

Here's a cute little invite for a girl's night out with your BFF.  I used my new "Mariposa" paper pack from DCWV for this one.  I so loooove the papers in this stack!  This fleur de lis pattern in one of the more sedate ones....most of them have birdies and birdcages, which is why I bought the stack...ha!

The brown paper is CTMH's Desert Sand textured cardstock, sanded down a bit to show the white core.  I used Julee's Express Yourself and Delightful and Delicious with Black Versafine ink, paper-piecing one of the coffee mugs using the Desert Sand cardstock.  The flower is from a scrapbooking collection my Mom bought me for Christmas.  What a match, right?  Then....look at the little fleur de lis beads (click on the image to enlarge it) in the center of the flower!  How righteous is that!!!  It's from Prima.  I bought a couple of sets of these a while back and of course, forgot that I had them.  While scrunging around for a black button...........voila!!!!!  A perfect match!  wooHOOOO!!!!  Happy happy, fun, FUN!

Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday!  I have been looking forward to this day for about a month now.........you may ask why.  Well, I'll be back later either with good news or bad news.....ugh....my tummy is in knots.  Check back in Saturday for an update!

Sympathy Card for Amelia Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

My good friend Amelia lost her father-in-law this week.  He had a rapid decline over the last few weeks, but it is never expected, is it.  I wanted to make a special card for her, Tom and the girls.  I opted for this week's Mojo Monday sketch. 

I paired this spring's Creative Basics collection from CTMH  with some Juniper and Garden Green cardstock.  A few of the new Spring Flowers and a great brad are my accents. 

The sentiment, as well as the birds and leaves, are all from one of Verve's stamp sets.  Julee does such a wonderful job with her images, sentiments and fonts.  This set has several stamps that are appropriate for sympathy cards.  I consider it a must-have set for such occasions.  There are a couple of other images included as well.

Mojo Monday 120 Challenge Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

It's been a few weeks since I've been able to participate in my favorite challenge, Mojo Monday.  So I was really happy to be working on this card in my studio.

I pulled out one of my all-time favorite Close To My Heart paper packets, "Silhouette".  I hope this collection never retires!  Add to that my favorite Spellbinder's dies and my favorite Verve stamps, and you can't go wrong!  Right???

So here's my sketch interpretation.  I was very literal this time, staying as close to the sketch dimensions as possible.  Since I used a few different patterned papers, I kept the embellishments to a minimum.  You can click on the image to enlarge it.

Yesterday was a wonderful cropping day with friends!  We had a Flamingo Gals group meeting in the morning, then I headed over to play paper dolls (ha) with a gaggle of gals close by in Melbourne Village.  It was so enjoyable - like I imagine quilting bees used to be - women with a common bond laughing, creating, telling stories about our kids....sharing goodies (both craftable and edible).....what joy!  I headed home early to cuddle with my kitties...it has been C-O-L-D here in sunny Florida!  But it's better than the heat, so we'll take it!

I'd like to challenge you this week to pull out some of your favorites...maybe some things you have been 'saving' (like this Silhouette paper collection - ha).  Look at them with a different eye and nestle them with some of your other favorites that might no be intended to 'go' together.  Pull items from different companies and let them break bread together!  Then share your creations with your blogging buddies.

Mojo Monday 112 CTMH Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

I did it!  I actually completed the Mojo Monday sketch challenge on Monday, instead of waiting till Sunday!  Woohoooo!!  Now, if I could only get it posted on Monday....ha!!!!

This is such a cool sketch!  How can you not get inspired by it?  I decided to pull out my Close To My Heart "Jingle" paper pack and make a little holiday card this time.  And I made it in no time!

The main image/sentiment is just one of several images in the "Just for the holidays" stamp set.  I love, love, LOVE this stamp set!  Click on the link to get a closer look at all of the cute images - great for gift tags - just stamp 'em, punch 'em and add some twine!  I already have mine ready!

My photo is sort of stinky - the flash went off and I realized it too late.  So everything looks flat.  In fact, the two rectangular panels are popped up, as are the Creme Brulee flower, the Juniper snowflake, and the Tulip stamped sentiment.

Mojo Monday on a low-mojo Sunday Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

Hello, friends!

• I was anxious to make a card for last Monday's Mojo sketch
• I knew which elements wanted to use
• I had all my supplies pulled together in one location
• It took me a week to get to it 'cause I have been FARMING on Facebook!

Good grief.  Somebody stop me!  Tee hee.  Here's the sketch.  Nice and simple!

Here's my card - also nice and simple!  You know I usually 'pile it on' when it comes to cardmaking, so I am quite pleased that I used a bit of restraint!

The precious birdie image is actually printed on twill.  It's from a page of nine images and is called Homespun Cotton Scraps.  I purchased it a while back from Sharon Johnson's wonderful little store and it's been in the back of my mind ever since!  The image is matted on blue linen.  I'll discuss its origin in another post ;-)  The elegant papers are CTMH's "Perfect Day". The flower, metal and ink are all Close To My Heart as well.  It was so simple and quick....delightfully so!

Are you ready to go back to work?  Neither am I.  Although I feel it will be a very productive week.  I hope to sign two new doctors to the group.  Keep your fingers crossed!

Mojo Monday 109 CTMH Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

My Dodgers are killin' me here, y'all.  I could do with a win tonight!  It's been a crazy week....my computer at work CRASHED - 15 years of work lost in cyberspace.  "Yes, Deb, if you have the P: drive on your computer, your files are automatically backed up".   Well.....that might be the case if I saved my files to the P: drive!  Good grief.  Work is painful right now.

So tonight is the first night I felt like creating.  I pulled out DCWV's Latte paper stack (love it) and a couple of Verve stamp sets  (love them) and went to work.  Here's what I came up with! 

Granted my photography is horrible tonight.  I took my cheap little camera (that takes the best photos) to work to see if I had any physician photos on it that might be saved (I didn't, of course...tee hee).  So I used my better camera, which takes worse photos!  The mat behind the shoe is actually the same blue as the bottom mat behind the sentiment, which is also the in the background paper....you get the idea. 

The card didn't come out the way I wanted it to.  I realize I should have used a larger card to balance the shoe, which would have enabled me to make the sentiment element larger.   Are you learning from my mistakes?  tee hee

Well, the Phillies just got two more runs - one walked in and another walked in when the batter was hit.  Good grief.  This week will go down in history as "not Deb's week".

Thanks for all your nice comments on my birdie card.....I just love that birdie!  And thanks for sticking with me through thick and thin (when do we get to the thin part???)!

A Snowy Take on Mojo Monday 107 Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

I am covered in blue glitter! But oh, it was worth it!

We don't see much snow here in central Florida.  Zip. Zero.  Zilch.  If the thermometer hits 65, we haul out the coats.  But we can sparkle and glam it up, yes siree! 

I decided to flip this week's Mojo Monday sketch 45 degrees so that I would have a wider field for stamping.  The sentiment, "Sending you hugs on a cold winter's day," is from Artful Inkable's Paper Snowflakes stamp set. 

I purchased one of K&Company's two holiday paper packs on my last trip to the LSS.  Like I needed more paper - good grief!!!  But it was sparkly!  I thought that CTMH's Crystal Blue and Smokey Plum were a nice complement to this particular pattern.  And I know....there's another one of those silly doilies.  Well, I have to use them up!  And I took the time to cut away part of this one to resize it.

Do you like the little brads?  They are CTMH's Crystal Blue regular brads and tiny brads.  The ribbon are from CTMH's Winter Cozy Organdy ribbon rounds.

This photo is a little bit closer view of the snowflake, in an attempt to show the glitter. 

I purchased the glitter at Wally World a couple of years ago (Martha Stewart).  It was a combo pack of six or eight different colors, and this is the first time I've used it.  Such fun! 

So even without the promise of snow, I forsee many glittery evenings in the days ahead!  Oh, the joy of paper crafting!

Artful Inkables/Mojo Monday/Think Ink Tuesday Challenge Card....phew!!! Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

Did you enjoy World Cardmaking Day yesterday?  Did you make a pretty card, or two?  I hope you enjoyed some creative time....I know I did!

Well, this is the first time I have completed a project that meets three challenges.....good grief....I've never been able to get two into one, much less three!

So this is my Sunday AI post using the cute new stamp set, Holiday Treats and Tails.  Now, how adorable is this little Beaver?  I stamped her on the Creme Brulee cardstock, then paper pieced all but her tail with Cocoa, White Daisy and Tulip cardstock.  I used CTMH markers on her tail.

The second challenge that it meets is the Think Ink Tuesday challenge wherein Lisa challenges us to make our card sparkly!  wooHOOO!  What girl doesn't love a little (or a LOT) of sparkle?  So I pulled out the Stickles that I have been collecting and used it on the lights.  Added CTMH sparkles to her ears and my favorite, the CTMH rhinestone frames....a square one around the sentiment and a curvy one to the left of the bow.  Check out the Think Ink Tuesday link and submit your sparkly card for a chance to win a grab bag of cool AI goodies!

Here's a closeup that highlights the image a little better.  The third challenge that it meets is the Mojo Monday sketch challenge.  These sketches rock!  The paper is from CTMH's Jingle paper packet.  The ribbon is a new suede ribbon by May Arts that I purchased from Sharon's store.  Oh, it feels so delightful....it really is suede! 

I nearly finished this post with "now hop on over to......." since my last two posts were blog hops.  And what fun they were!  It's only going to get busier with the holidays approaching, right?

Mojo Monday 105 with a cute little skirt! CTMH Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

It's Mojo Thursday for me...tee hee! I think I'm finally getting back into the swing of things. When I saw this Mojo Monday (105) sketch, I wanted to give it a frilly feel. So my first thought was some type of lace or scallops for the bottom layer.

Then I had what my mom would call a brainstorm....which turned out to be more of a drizzle, ha!

Remember when we were kids...we used to make those paper snowflakes by folding white "typewriter" paper, cutting little notches, then unfolding to find an amazing, one-of-a-kind wonder? Well. Apparently the wonder is in a child's eyes, because when I tried it last night - ugh.......no. Not so amazing. Now, that's not to say that I might not try it again - tis the season, right?

So I did the next best thing. I found these 4" doilies which I thought would be perfect! When I brought them home, however, I realized they were too wide (four 4" doilies, 5" wide card....hell-OOO!!!!).So I snipped them in half and proceeded to pleat them to make a cute little skirt! I love how it turned out! There are four half-doiles to make the four scallops on the bottom.

I also wanted to do a monochromatic card with creams and whites, but needed to add chocolate for a little pop. Gotta love a little chocolate, right?

Mojo Monday Sketch 97 CTMH Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

Greetings! Happy Monday!!! Mondays are not so bad now that I have discovered Julee's Mojo Monday sketches. What fun! Have you tried them? If not, why not give them a try! This is my interpretation. Although the colors look a little 'off', they coordinate nicely in real life. This is a nice sketch! I think I may reach for it again and again. Maybe it was so easy because I didn't add a bazillion layers and dimensionals - notice there's not even any ribbon! HA! And I used my Stickles for the first time...woooHOO!!! I have collected about 10 bottles but forget that I have this stuff. I've been moving out of my rut (using the same stuff over and over) and started to play with some of these fun supplies. It's so much fun....I feel like a kid again!!!

I used a mat pad from K&Company. If you're going to make cards, these mat pads are plenty big enough and a lot more affordable - you can buy some of the coordinating accessories with the money you saved. tee hee. Anyway, I colored my medallion with markers, ink and a blending pen. I'm not such a hot colorer. Would probably had been nicer if I had paper pieced. Hmmmm. That's an idea for next time! How do you like that cute little squiggle in the corner? It's actually a Sizzix die that I used in my Cuttlebug. It's actually the only Sizzix die that I own. I bought it because I wanted a little flourish and could not find what I wanted from Cuttlebug or Spellbinders. It looks different than this in its original form. I cut it up and repositioned it. What are you up to? I have been dying to announce that I am going to be leaving Wednesday for Close To My Heart's Leadership Conference in Long Beach, California! WoooHOOOOO!!!! I am about to die with excitement! Alan is going to hold down the fort and keep the kitties company. Now, I am a last-minute packer. Probably because I don't have enough clothes to pack and still have something to wear to work! I'll be doing laundry tomorrow night, then packing around midnight, I suppose. I can't WAIT!!!!! We will be getting the brand new Idea Book, new products, create and takes, leadership classes....boy, I sure can use those. I am a terrible leader. I would probably do better if I didn't spend so much time doing contests and blogging, right???? Oh well. I will get a fire lit under me this week, I am sure!

Mojo Monday Sketch 96 and the first moon landing Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

Greetings to all my blog-reading buddies! Today was a great day because I asked my boss if I could leave early.....woooHOOO!!!!! I ran a couple of errands, then came home to get my mojo going. What better way to do that than with the Mojo Monday sketch challenge?

This card is not my typical style, is it? But I really like it! The Mojo sketch had three patterned bands and four solid bands. I used Cloud Nine's Cocoa Mint paper and dimensiompnal stickers. Yum! Plus one of the most awesome stamp sets, CTMH's "You've Got Flair" - remember the July Stamp of the Month Blog Hop? Yep, same stamp!!!

See how the image shines? Copper embossing powder! Now, copper is my metal of choice. I really LOVE copper! My kitchen countertops have little copper sparkles in them. They make me very happy!!!

Today is the anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Remember where you were? We were on our annual summer vacation to Virginia ('back home'). Every year that I can remember, we piled in the station wagon (it was always a station wagon - the precursor to the SUV, right?) and head north. Now, my dad had to leave at 3:00 a.m. He wanted to get some miles behind us before the traffic got bad. Looking back, he probably wanted to get those miles behind us before we starting "fussin". Teresa was the prissy older one (4.5 years older than me - a century in kid years) who tried to be our second mother. She will kill me if she reads this....tee hee. Anyway, Sonny and I would usually play the road trip games together. He is five years younger than me, but we probably played together more. Jeannie was the baby (yes, five years younger than Sonny). Lord only knows how we made it without killing each other!

Anyway, I was lucky to have a cousin (Pam) the same age as me, so I usually got to stay at Ada Marie's house. Ada Marie is Pam's mom-remember her? "God love that young'un!". That Aunt Ada. So on this particular trip, the whole family was at their house, preparing to watch this momentous moment on television. Ada and her husband Jim Ed were the rich side of the family. They had a huge double-wide trailer with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a family room, den AND a living room! And a trash compactor! No one in the family had ever had one...and has never had one since! Jim Ed bought and sold large equipment (tractors and such) and those children got anything they ever wanted. They bought me my first Barbie, although it was not technically Barbie, it was her younger sister Skipper. My only Barbie was a 'used' one from Teresa's friend. Pam had at least a dozen Barbies. We had SUCH fun playing Barbie!!!

So this time we gathered in the den to watch the moon landing. Well, I should say that the grownups gathered in the den. We were off playing some important game (probably 'Operation') till my dad hollered "You young'uns get in here and watch this! This is history here!" So with a plethora of sighs and eye rolls, we slumped into the den and watched and listened to Neil Armstrong. Do you remember? Remember the long delay and the jumpy video? All black and white. Did you keep your eyes peeled for the man in the moon? Were you afraid the astronauts were going to sink into the moon? My heart was beating out of my chest, waiting to see some space alien jump out and grab the astronauts. What a moment! I'm sure my dad's heart was beating out of his chest with pride. He worked at the space center his entire adult life, and he was the expert. This made us experts of sort, at least to our hillbilly cousins!

Since then we have watched dozens, maybe hundreds of space launches, landings, walks....remember the first space walk? We were lucky to grow up in central Florida!

Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge Card Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

Welcome back! Well, it's Mojo Monday! I have to tell you that my mojo is pretty burnt out today - tee hee! I made so many cards this weekend....well, it's not the quantity, really, but the amount of time I spent making them! It was very satisfying, but at the same time, I am worn out tonight. I couldn't get to sleep till 5 a.m., and up for work at 7:15! Yes, I know......maybe if I hadn't gone to bed at 4 a.m. the last two nights.....tee hee!

Well, this is my card for today's Mojo Monday sketch. With no mojo in my soul, I decided to test the CTMH motto of "faster, simpler, easier!" and use my products to accomplish this goal. Success!!! No stamping, very little cutting. I used our Journey Journaling Spots for the three elements on the front, then the All-Out Adventure Rub-Ons for the compass image and the two words on the Journaling Spots (just $2.95 for 36 images!). Talk about fast, simple and easy! It took me more time to think about it than to do it! WOOhooooOOOO!

Speaking of rub-ons. We have three different styles. Each style comes in a package of three sheets - identical except for the color. You get a sheet of white, black and chocolate. And they truly rock! They rub on very smoothly without that nasty shadow around them. I have rediscovered them. They work super on acrylic, too!

Good grief - we had some heart-stopping thunder this afternoon! The electricity went out twice - then BOOM!!!! It came right back on, but needless to say....no shuttle launch today! These summer afternoon thunderstorms have been nonstop. What's the weather like in your neck of the woods?

Mojo Monday 92 and a new Lockhart Stamp Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

It's HOT! We had a record high Monday of 99. I have not checked on the high for yesterday or today.....why get depressed? tee hee

I'm now officially hooked on Julee's Mojo Monday sketch challenges. I just love her style! Here's my take on this week's challenge. Don't you just love the little Adirondack chair? I have been dying to use this Lockhart stamp since I first got it from Susana 's store a few weeks ago. I think it goes great with this Bella paper, don't you? I also used my first Verve stamp - the sentiment from Black Tie Birdies. Yippee!!!

And woohoooo....notice the fluffy flowers? They are made with Flower Soft!!!! I was so excited to get this stuff (also from Susana ;-)...it is totally awesome!!!!! Click on the pic to see it close up. Of course I could not just buy the lavender. My favorite combo of flower colors is pink, lavender and yellow, so that's what I bought!!!! I think I also bought red to experiment with poinsettias for the holidays....hmmm. Anyway, you get a huge jar that will last close to forever!!!
