Sweet Valentine for Susan's Party CTMH Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

Happy Friday....woooHOOOO!

My sweet friend Susan is hosting a Close To My Heart party next weekend.  So of course we have to make a valentine...right?

Right!  The large heart element, popped up on foam tape, is from the beautiful stamp set "Love Language".  I bought it for the fabulous bird stamp (not used here), and I'm glad I did!  The little lace border is from the set "Lovely Lace".  Ink is Vineyard Berry; paper is "That's Amore".

And what's a valentine without a little chocolate?  See the strip of brown cardstock?  That's a piece of textured cardstock, sanded to show the white core.

And this month, we are donating some of the proceeds from the sale of CTMH's textured cardstock to medical care in Haiti.  Buy any set of textured cardstock and get another set, any color, free!  It's the perfect time to stock up.  Click on the icon on the top of the right column of this blog for information on how you can save and help others at the same time.

Have a wonderful weekend!

AI Sunday - Cute little reindeer card! CTMH Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

What a great day!  It has finally cooled down for three or four days here - high in the 70's!  So here's a quick post for you.

It's my Design Team post day today.  I decided to incorporate Jen's sketch challenge from the Think Ink uesday design challenge.  Be sure to participate - you might win a big old bag of Artful Inkables goodies!  And you can still win the new October stamp sets - Down on the Farm and A Bird's Song - by commenting on Thursday's (10/15) blog hop posts.

I used AI's classic stamp set  Peaceful Wishes  for this card.  It has two really nice deer stamps - click on the name of the stamp set to see the whole set.  The papers are from CTMH's That's Amore paper packet - six very nice coordinating papers.  I used two of them here, plus the coordinating Tulip and Cocoa inks.  Also used Nestabilities Labels 5 (my favorite!) to cut the image panel.  Love it! CTMH white organdy ribbon and pearls - ask me how you can get the pearls from me free!  Don't they coordinate nicely with this Artful Inkables stamp set?  This was my first purchase from AI and I will probably use it every year!

So hop on over to the AI blog for your chance to win BIG!  Have a wonderful day.  Can't wait to enjoy this weather - woohoo!

Quick Little Heart Card CTMH Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

Happy Hump Day!

My beloved Dodgers are on television tonight! Unfortunately, they are behind 4-2. The game is only half over, though, so I am not ready to concede - tee hee!

This is just about the quickest card you could ever make. I used CTMH's HeartFelt(R) Whimsy Die-Cuts, That's Amore paper pack and a couple of brads. I even used a pattern from the extremely awesome "Wishes" book, so I didn't even have to think! Just read the measurements, snip snip, zip zip (tape - ha) - and there you go! This will be one of the cards for my August card class. The gals will be happy - an easy one! ;-)

Three weeks from today I will be headed to the other side of the country - California! - for CTMH's Leadership soiree. I am SOOOOO excited!!!! I just finished some super-cute roomie gifts for the other gals from our central Florida unit who are going. Oh, joy joy JOY!!!! Then next year is Convention - the most fantastic time of your life! Want to go? Sign up to be a consultant! All consultants are invited to Convention...I've been saving my money since last July! Most of my downline are hobbyists....you don't have to sell a lot to maintain active status with CTMH! And this month, you can sign up and receive lots of extra stuff free (read about it here)!

Well, I have no boring stories for you tonight.....my eyes are darting back to the Dodgers!

Sweet dreams,

Can't believe I made five cards tonight! CTMH Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

Good grief! I had a long, happy evening of creating!
A dear friend and co-worker lost her father last Friday. Two days before Father's Day. How very sad. It is one of the hardest things we will go through, truly.
So tonight I made this sympathy card for her. I used the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday sketch challenge. This is my first challenge and my first card with Flourishes stamps. They are gorgeous! I received my first (few - tee hee) sets last week and can't wait to show you all that I've made with them already!
I used the Flourishes set "Thinking of You" for the image and the sentiment. Paper is the beautiful "That's Amore" paper pack from Close To My Heart, with coordinating accessories and inks in Vineyard Berry and Colonial White.
As I've been so chatty lately, I'll leave you with nothing more than a simple good night!
Sweet Dreams,
