Welcome to the Close To My Heart 2009 World Card Making Day Blog Hop! Who would have ever dreamed that there would be a World Cardmaking Day? How totally cool is that? You know that I will be playing in my scrapbook room all day - like I needed an excuse...tee hee!
Today we have 17 rockin' CTMH consultants sharing our card designs with you. If you've come from Penny's blog then it's working for ya! Take a look at my 'stuff', then hop on to Haley's blog from here. This is a round robin hop, so keep going till you've seen it all!
When I first opened up my "Key To My Heart" paper packet and stamp set this spring, the beauty of this paper nearly took my breath away! I was going to say it rendered me speechless, but...well....we know that will never happen....tee hee.
So I have been hoarding this paper for several months. Yes, I have more than one packet. But it will never be enough! I did the same with the Serendipity paper special (yummy!) last time. It must be a character flaw.
This is a 90% CTMH card. The little heart charm is actually a button from JoAnn's. The Juniper polkie dots around the border are actually from a Sakura Souffle pen. It's sort of like Liquid Applique - it puffs when it dries! Too cool.
Here's a closeup of the sentiment. Isn't it a beautiful font? The sparkly round frame is from Close To My Heart (just ask and I will share), as is the waxy flax (wound around the key - which is flooded with Liquid Glass), ribbon, etc. etc. I did a little 'folding treatment' with the ribbon, then added a little bow. What is a card without ribbon? A sad card indeed.
Now, see why I have to hoard this paper? Yum, yum, yum!!!
I hope you enjoy my card! Embrace World Cardmaking Day. Take our energy and hit one out of the park! Just be sure you show me what you create!
Now, head on over to my sistah Haley's blog for some more creative inspiration.

What a gorgeous card! I used to be a paper hoarder but I've learned that I enjoy it even more when I make something with it. I am going to have to look for those Sakura Souffle pens. How cool is that?
Wow I love it! Very elegant and over the top!
Sometimes I hoard paper ( and I NEVER use it, because it is too beautiful!) which is silly and psychological! Maybe I 'm not the only one.
I hoarded my serendipity so long I don't even like it anymore!
Wonderful card - with some fabulous finishing details!
Absolutely gorgeous, my friend! It's perfect!!
Stunning. Such a beautiful card!
Happy World Card Making Day and greetings from Finland!
Souffle pens have the juniper color?!? I'm on it! LOVE this card and the way you folded the ribbon is going to be scraplifted! I'm so happy that I joined this blog hop and that my linked worked and I was able to see this GORGEOUS creation!! Happy World Cardmaking Day!
Your card is BEAUTIFUL!!!
Deb, this is absolutely awesome! I still haven't broken into my KTMH papers yet but you give a whole new perspective on amazing artwork!!
Absolutely gorgeous!!! I am the same way, I tend to hoard my paper, especially the stuff I know I can't just re-order - it's horrible! You've inspired me to break into this pack some more - TFS!
