New CTMH Paper and AI Birdie Scrapbooking in Melbourne, Florida

Brrrrrrrrrrrr!!!  It is crispy chilly here in Florida, so I can just imagine how cold it is in the great North!  For us, though, it's a nice change, especially since Christmas is nearly here!

Sunday is my Artful Inkables post.  I couldn't resist picking up one of the cute little birdies from "A Bird's Song" to pair with one of Close To My Heart's brand new paper packets, "Caboodle".  Now, you can't purchase it till January, but I was itching to dig my scissors into it!

This was a  pretty simple card, all in all.  I stamped the little guy onto the Sorbet side of one of the six papers and cut out the main portion of his body.  Then I stamped the image again onto the white paper, coloring in his tail, beak and the branch.  My new EK Success punch made a quick scallop.  I used the 'backside' of the lower paper.

I love this scrunchy flower so much that you will probably get sick of it....ha!  I punched nine scallops from one page of a paperback book, nestled them together with a CTMH Twilight corduroy brad., added a little tag...and voila!  A simple little card! BABY is home!  tee hee ....  So I'm off to spend a bit of time with him before the holidays.  Enjoy your family and friends.....that's my plan!!!

Hey Deb, it's 41 up here and not supposed to get over 56. It feels so yummy. Love the card. You know birds are my favs. I like that idea for the flower. Boy, do I have paperbacks. Every year or two I have to have a major clean out of books.
Are you going to convention? It will be here before we know it. I have got to save big time between now and July. If CTMH would stop making things I have to have it would be a lot easier to save.
Enjoy your holidays with your son and family.
Merry Christmas.
